Equipment

GeoSonics Data Services is built on the solid foundation of the GeoSonics 3000-series Seismographs and Data Recorders. These "remote" versions of the recorders incorporate the same field-proven instrumentation and electronics as the GeoSonics standard recorders, but the remote devices contain software specifically designed to increase the performance and reliability of remote communications and operations.

Wired or wireless, through land lines, satellite, or cellular networks, these remote devices accommodate the less than ideal conditions that often occur in "real world" applications. GeoSonics offers several configurations of its recorders to provide suitable monitoring capabilities for a wide range of applications.

Seismograph

For construction and blast vibration monitoring, the GeoSonics Remote Seismograph supports three ground vibration channels and one air-overpressure channel. With its multiple recording modes and full-featured alarm capabilities and notifications, the seismograph handily meets the requirements for many vibration monitoring situations. The seismograph unit accommodates geophones, accelerometers, and hydrophones along with a microphone.

Data Recorder

Our general-purpose four-channel data recorder is designed for custom or specialized remote monitoring applications and can be configured to accept input from many types of transducers. Though flexible in terms of configuration, the data recorder rigorously documents its configuration and calibration, as well as provide reliable and accurate measurements -- key elements for robust compliance monitoring program.

Autonomous Crack Monitor

The Autonomous Crack Monitor compares the measured crack response to temperature and humidity changes to the response induced by ground vibrations. According to the pioneering research of Professor Charles Dowding, "This comparison of long-term and vibratory crack response demonstrates that the silent response of cracks to environmental changes is larger than that produced by blasting, which is felt and heard."

This new monitoring approach can be a useful tool in quarry public relations, and the GeoSonics Autonomous Crack Monitor is well-suited for the task.

Sound Level Meter

For environmental sound studies, the remote Sound Level Meter offers an uncomplicated, unattended solution for sound level trending and compliance monitoring. With advanced features like optional temperature and windspeed recording, the GeoSonics Sound Level Meter easily provides the additional data for more sophisticated sound monitoring programs. Full-featured alarm capabilities and notifications are also available with this complete, turnkey solution.

Weather Station

Install a GeoSonics Weather Station and conveniently gather local weather information at your job site. Where local weather conditions may affect other monitored data, this turnkey solution is an ideal way to include this supplemental, yet influential, weather data into your monitoring program.

Data Operation Centers

Away from your job site, behind the scenes, our technology works around the clock, relentlessly moving data from your job site to you. The task never ends. And though you are probably more interested in the data rather than how it gets to you, you can be sure that GeoSonics Data Services is working for you.

Throughout each week, our data centers gather, process, and distribute thousands of data records. Experienced staff along with the latest computer, networking, and server technologies, plus our advanced software all combine to insure timely and reliable delivery of your data.
